Moving into a Fully Action-Combat Oriented System

In the last couple of weeks, we made major changes to the combat and skills behavior.
We initially started with a mix of action combat and tab-target, but we wanted something more dynamic and better aligned with our 2D gameplay.

Both the Warrior and Archer classes have been completely reworked to embrace a fully dynamic action-MMO system, featuring multiple skill variations and greater player control.

Note: Don’t miss the upcoming Class Overview — we’ll go over each class’s different skills and overall combat dynamics.

🗡️ Skill Types

Here’s a brief overview of some of the skill types we’ve been working on.
(Please note that the skills shown are not final — animations and dynamics may change in future updates. These captures come from the Alpha build.)

Skill-Shot

Fire a projectile in the direction your character is facing.

Ground-Targeted

Click the skill, then select the area where the ability will land.
In this example, the Archer casts a Rain of Arrows over a chosen zone — while the Mage will have their own powerful area-based abilities.

Mobility Skills

These abilities change the player’s position instantly or rapidly.
For example, the Warrior’s Charge lets him rush into enemies — or escape danger — while future classes will feature unique movement abilities such as teleports or dashes.
